How to use this free round
Read questions aloud or hand out sheets. Score one point each. Keep phones away unless you declare open-book for kids. When you want a full eighty-question night with host guide, picture round and certificates, step up to a complete pack.
Scoring this free set
Fifty questions is a generous warm-up. For a short starter, play one category of ten. For a fuller mini-quiz, play three categories and keep mixed for last. One point per correct answer. Accept close spellings on film titles. Where two answers are reasonable, reward the spirit of the question — you are hosting Christmas, not marking A-levels.
If children are playing, let them steal the mixed round and soft-score films. Adults can take songs and traditions. The goal is shared noise, not a perfect leaderboard.
Printing and paper craft
Copy the questions into a document without the answers for teams, keep this page as your host key, or simply read aloud. Reading aloud is kinder to ink levels and stops accidental scrolling to answers on shared phones. Number answers clearly when you mark — shout the score updates so remote-feeling cousins at the end of the table stay in it.
What a full pack adds
A complete Quiz Tin night adds a timed host guide, separate answer key, team sheets, emoji picture round, Joker score sheet, winners’ certificate, and editable Word files. That is the difference between a clever free round and a whole evening that runs itself while you still look like the calm centre of the room.
